You Gotta Have Heart!

A subtle reminder that I better seen you all on Saturday, May 14!

The second annual Chuck Lelas Memorial Scholarship Fund 10K Run/Walk is upon us again. It will take place May 14, 2005 at Forest Park - Springfield, Massachusetts. With the race itself set for 11:00 a.m., registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The cost is $25 and includes a t-shirt and the post-race bbq, as well as the opportunity to win a bunch of raffle prizes.

Click here for the official race website, www.lelas.org.

The EL crew, well-represented at the Celtics Playoff Game A!

The Golden Greek, Harry Agganis!

Of course, The Clowns had to sit with me

The did have better seats though

And as we sent Tim out of the arena for being beligerant, I had to sit with these clowns

There was a time when it looked like Indy wouldn't break 50!

Scoring, quarter-by-quarter, at halftime... this one was over early. So was Tim for that matter

Tony T and Andy Mathison (along with Tizza) made the trip

It was a blowout at the half... the Celts outscored Indiana 39-11, it was 20-20 early in the second quarter. The C's even trailed early, 12-4!

2005 Boston Marathon!

Adam even got a congratulatory kiss from his woman, along with a frosty beverage for the job well done.

What the?!

But there were many more of elation!

With more than 130 photos taken, there was bound to be one of exhaustion

Here are the happy Marathon runners, Adam and Aimee. She finished about 15 or 20 minutes before him! Notice our home made encouraging sign in the background!

Seriously, good job bud!

Per request of Adam "Bill Rogers" Valachovic, we drenched him in Miller Lite!

He talked with a couple EL friends on the phone as well

We met up with crinkle-wrap boy a few minutes later

And he coasted into the finish line around the 4:10 mark! CONGRATS!

He later admitted he was chasing the cutie in the pink hat for 26 miles, yet couldn't get her to notice him!

Sweat pouring down

And at Mile 26, with less than .2 remaining, we see Adam "sprint" by!

EL staple Kristin Carabine was also on the scene, working in the med tent, she actually contributed to the well-being of the event, where as I merely work security at a VIP Reception. Easily the best job I have ever landed thanks to sports.

And as soon as our boy Bob Lobel gets done interviewing this hussie, we're going to tell him to keep an eye out for Adam Valachovic!

Not knowing how the day would end, Melissa and I figured at least we should have one photo of someone linked to some kind of accomplishment. She posed for the New Balance Self Trophy.

Next we move to the BIG DAY... here's where Adam's goal of ending up was, Copley, in the heart of the Hub, Boston, Massachusetts.

And the fruits of her labor

Here they are, the long-awaited 2005 Boston Marathon Photos! We start with the night before where Melissa had to make Adam's shirt. As you can see, this is the basis for a healthy relationship.

And the phrase for the year, Ya Gotta Be Here!

Thanks stupid security guard for the crappy photo!

We enjoyed it! Thanks Banco Popular as well!

In case the previous shot wasn't close enough! THE APPLE!

METS WIN! Fireworks and all! Notice the Apple is even up!

Mets score a run!

THE APPLE!

Upper Deck

As good as the Mets right side of the infield is, (Jose Reyes and David Wright), it's not even the best right side of the infield in the city as the stupid Yankees have A-Rod and Jeter.

We then moved to these seats on the third base side of the stadium, also in the sun!

The tallest building in Manhattan, post-9/11

A look across the river toward Manhattan

Killing countless numbers of seagulls, fish and other assorted wildlife though out the Tri-State area!

Adam with the Opening Day baloons in the background

Opening Day 2005!

These were the seats we were supposed to sit in, we moved though. Check out the cool outfield lawn moving job though!
