The New Yorker: The Critics: On Television


Animated television shows and the econom of the United States have something i common—they both depend on a preciou natural resource. But, while the oil the countr relies on will run out someday, the fuel tha keeps TV cartoons going, natural gas, i endlessly renewable. As long as there ar human beings—particularly boys an overgrown boys—around to fart, and make far jokes, there will be cartoons... HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE AN ARTICLE THAT STARTS LIKE THIS?!!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again. When a well respected publication (like the Times or in this case, The New Yorker) pontificates about something I love, can the world be all that bad?!

I think not, Here's to the Family Guy!
